The performance of a patent monitoring is suggestive in order to be periodically informed about the most recent developments and intellectual property rights in particular technology fields. Though the available free patent databases on the internet allow a search for patent classes and applicants, they are not suited for complex monitorings due to the missing facilities to store search queries and search results. Tailored to your supplied search profile we can provide you with monthly/quarterly reports consisting of brief excerpts of the latest patent publications. The search profile includes the relevant classes of the international patent classification as well as the names of the main competitors.

For each identified document a brief excerpt comprising the following components is provided:

• Bibliographic Data
• Abstract
• Main claim
• Patent graphic

The delivery is carried out in a clearly structured layout as a PDF file for Acrobat Reader. In addition to the brief excerpts a synoptical spreadsheet with the publication numbers, titles and assignees is available. Hyperlinks can be attached to the document so as to show in detail the associated documents in the database of the corresponding patent office (when available). In case or larger data volumes it is feasible to install a patent database and to deliver the data on CD-ROM.

The costs of a search run result from the number of data sets identified. The billing of costs will be effected semi-annually. In case of large-scale search profiles the preparation is additionally charged after expenditure of time. Changes or additions of the search profile are just as possible as a completion of the monitoring at any time.
